Price estimating of development projects is done after the requirements have been confirmed by the customer. Estimating is conducted in a team session where each task is rated by the team and given a score of the effort required. Based on the scoring by the team and the level of the resource assigned to the team member doing the related task, an estimate is determined for confirmation by the customer.
Estimates are calculated as minimum and expected amounts for the task. The team is expected to meet the targets of the estimates. Considerations are given at completion of the sprint to balance the risks of over or under estimates.
